“Badhoekie” – an aptly named word in Afrikaans that cannot be directly translated. It is a sense of being alone in your bath or bathroom where you can be alone or with a loved one and pamper yourself without the outside world intruding.

My Inspiration
Ek was gemotiveer om hierdie reeks natuurlike badprodukte te maak nadat ek besef het dat die badbomme wat my susterskinders gebruik vol sintetiese middels en kleurmiddels is. Ons familie is hoogs sensitief vir preserveer middels en kleurmiddels. Hoe meer ek opgelees het oor wat in seker van die produkte ingaan, hoe meer het ek tot die besef gekom dat baie van die middels op die oog af onskadelik lyk, maar eintlik baie sleg is vir ons. So het die soektog begin na resepte vir produkte wat so natuurlik as moontlik is. Elke produk word self gemaak deur my en ek weet presies watter bestandele daarin is.
I was inspired to develop this range of natural bathing products after I realised that the bathbombs that my nieces use are full of synthetic ingredients and colorants. Our family is highly sensitive to preservatives and colorants. The more I did research on what is added to store bought products, the more I realised that even though they look natural on first glance, they are actually very bad for us. So the journey began to research recepies that are made of natural products as far as possible. Every product is handmade and made with love by myself and I know precisely what ingredients are in each product.
My Goal with the Store
Oor die laaste jaar het ek verskeie resepte uitprobeer en getoets om ‘n produk te kry wat so natuurlik as moontlik is vir mense wat sensitiewe velle het of sensitief is vir sintetiese parfuums. Dit is vir my belangrik dat ‘n ma nie bekommerd hoef te wees oor die produkte wat sy vir haar kinders in die bad sit nie en dat syself of enige persoon kan ontspan in ‘n bad of stort en net asem haal sodat sy sterk kan wees vir wat op haar wag buite die badkamer.
Ek probeer die produkte so bekostigbaar maak as moontlik en lewer af oor die hele Suid Afrika. Aangesien produkte self gemaak word, gee so 5-7 dae vir aflewering.
Over the last year I have tested several recipes to develop a product that is as natural as possible for people that have sensitive skins or that is sensitive to synthetic fragrances. It is important for me to know that a mother can place her children in a bath with my products without worrying about their well-being. Everybody must be able to relax and take a nice smelling breath that will help with the stress of knowing that they must face the world outside the bathroom eventually.
We are trying to keep the products as cost effective as possible and therefore this is an online store and we deliver all over South Africa. Please understand that products are made by hand and allow 5-7 days for delivery.
